You doing it for improved MPG? Did they say what you can expect from it?

Bigarmz, why would you want to change the gears in such a bad ass truck? There's nothing better than smoking someone in your old truck, especially a Lexus or Infinity.

I will update the GV project. Yes, I'm going to bag the front definitely but the rear suspension is still up in the air?

Well tonight I finally got all the wiring finished and took the truck out to break-in the new rear and Gear Vendor. It was worth every nickel seeing the tack at 2500 rpms driving 65-70mph. The overdrive came on like a factory gear...smooooth! As soon as I break in the rear some more I'll explore some manual 6 speed fun....that's all for now

Wow! That would be nice, but it would take a while to pay off $2500 in the gas mile savings.

scrubby, its not only about the gas savings. Lets say he decides to do a leg or two of the power tour . with a 16 gallon tank (shortbed) he would be stopping pretty often, and although the sound of 9 liters humming at 3200 RPM for a few miles might be music to our ears it's a little overwhelming if you want to drive few HUNDRED miles.
good job Jay - now you need one of those real purdy tranny pans so when everyone looks underneaath of it to see the GV they don't say " WTF is with that nasty looking tranny pan" . :-) , DAVE

How does it really work? I thought you have let off in every gear to engage it? I could be wrong but its something I never could get a strait answer on. Any way to send me a video file of it working or how it works if possible?
