67 Panel Project

Another project to throw onto the pile.

I'll be swapping over the panel body to the burb 4x4 chassis after the body work and paint are completed.

Looks to be pretty solid.
When parked years ago it was running, so I'll start there.

1300 mile/27hr round trip for this one.

SIDE NOTE: Saw Bill Athey on Saturday, he's up and around and back at work.

Hey Bill,I was in Rileyville last night and was hoping to look you up yesterday but didn`t get ahold of you before I left.Guess you were busy with Kurt, but would have been pretty cool to meet both of you at the same time.I passed your shop in town today on my way home.I`ll get back soon.Kurt, glad to see you have the Panel back at your place safely.Do you think your ancestors were nomadic hunter gatherers?I think mine were, too.Let`s get together and check out the boneyards in Saudi Arabia my friend told me about. They`re full of rust-free Chevys(already sandblasted).LOL

If you're not using that rear bumper off the panel I'll take it. It looks OE to me. Just toss it in with the stepside pieces I still need to retrieve.

Smile Drove It

Threw in a battery and filled the Gatorade bottle with gas.
Yeah, that's the 'gas tank' apparently. Works for now though...

It started and ran surprisingly well for sitting untouched for 5/6 years.
Filled the tranny/brakes/radiator and power steering with fluids and everything still worked!

Backed the panel off the trailer under it's own power and parked it!

I really don't.
It's become more than a hobby. I'm cleaning house though...

How was your trip home? All worked out okay I hope.
I couldn't stop in while I was road tripping, sorry.
We did the ole 'drive through the night' thing.

I completely understand, no need to apologize. My trip was as good as it could be, considering circumstances. Again, I am also sorry about the ordeal. If you are ever down this area again, the truck is halfway on the market Maybe if you still have the pickups, we could work something out, with just the trucks

I can answer that as it all belonged to me once. Not factory, but a dealer installed unit. It was originally on a 70 GMC burb
