The color is Sherwin Williams Tropical Peach. I am unhappy with the actual shade of the color. I was wanting an orange sherbet color. Maybe when I go two-tone it will be a little more bearable. In the right light, it IS Tropical Peach. In other light it is pink.

I don't know if yall know of Frazer Ambulances or not but they use the same bonding tape to secure the aluminum skin to the aluminum frames for the patient compartments. It is very durable and Frazer makes one of the longest lasting boxes out there. You are talking hundreds of thousands of miles a year of very rough use some at high speeds. If it will hold up under that stress it should last forever on his application.

Really like the idea of that cover! Did you paint the lummi??
If so how do you paint it? I thought paint doesn't stick to lummi and galvinized. So the top sheet of lummi rests on the rails of the bed and the frame sits inside the bed?? Anymore pics of the hidge area? And how did you mount the little piece at the top covering the hidges? Cheers |

I think it looks awesome. couldn't you get a welding shop to put tack weld at say 6"o.c. I would think that with the tape and the tack welds it would be strong enough. what do you metal guys think? That way you knew it was safe and secure.

I have used the tape. It is enough if properly prepped.

I'm sure the tape will hold but we need pics of the hidges and top piece.
Also how do you paint lummi. I'll make a post in the paint section. |

The 3M tape is awesome. I have my old cover just outside my door, it has been out in the weather for at least 4 years. To this day, I cannot pull the metal off the frame. It is all in preparation. Later, Mark
