I would really like a bikini top. Full soft tops are really ugly. And I would never drill holes. Any bikini tops?

Full soft tops are very useful. You should only have to drill holes in the windshield frame and the tailgate - Not perfect, but if you live where it rains, going completely topless can be disastrous.

OK here is what is going on,i cannot get anybody to discount the tops enough to help anyone...Best-tops are discontued from what i am told...I have a factory softtop off the 70 2wd, mice ate holes in the canvas there is enough there to get a pattern and as soon as i find all the hardware for it,i am going to have it reproduced by someone to sell them here for a real good price...I thing $600 is too much for a $50 piece of vinyl and some metal tubes/windows..and a sewing machine...to put it all together. And will be made here the the U.S.A...Please give me some time and i will keep you all posted...Thanks for all interested ..Erick

I couldn't wait any longer for the 'special' order, so I ordered mine from ORD today. http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/softtops.htm
I ordered the fastrac for $640. It's not in stock and there is a 3 week wait for it to be built. I expect to get it in a month or so.

I got the last fastrack w/ dark tint windows (in black) before winter and it was the last one in stock - the guy said i was in luck other wise i'd be SOL as far as getting one in time before the rain.
Its great and well worth the $$$$$$$$$$$ AND the $$$ it cost to have it installed at a apolstry(sp?) shop. I dont want to give myself away too much, but i think i can snap some pics - enough for you guys to be jealous of. And i dont think you're just payying for the fabric and metal..... it did cost them X amount to be designed in the 1st place and you have to pay for that too. You said you plan on copying the orig. soft top.... well thats not quite what the fast track top is... and it works sooo nice - it doesnt blow off my truck (haha) or pop and snap in Safari mode going down the free way at 80 mph...... no as bad as a jeep wrangler soft top HAHAHAH and NO its not MADE IN CHINA - pic another reason to hate http://www.specialtytopco.com/ (note at the bottom of the page where it says "made in usa") Last edited by Medicanman71; 06-10-2005 at 09:28 PM. |
