Is 8" Notch big enough?

To lay frame on my '88 burb with a 30" tire...or should I go with a 10"? I did some simple measuring (frame is 8" of ground right now, axle tube is 2" from touching the frame) drew it up quick in CAD and it seems like I should have 1" clearance to the top inside of the notch. Anybody have any input?

Sounds about right! When or if you lift the front first then a 10 inch notch will give you room to go lower in the rear. If you run a 8 inch the rearend will hit the notch if the front goes up first. Make Sense....

Thanx Fast, I was only thinking of laying...I think I'll go with 10" just to be safe and I think that will give me the option of putting my F9000's over the axle if the need arises.

also is your burb 3/4 ton? how far does your frame hang below your rocker pinch weld?
