Tailgate Adjustment?
Hey guys,
Is there any way to adjust the tailgate? I bought a new one but it doesn't sit flush with the bed. My old one was flush on one side but not the other. By flush I mean when standing to the side of the truck the tailgate sticks out farther to the rear than the bed.....Thanks.........Lumpy ------------------ 67 Chevy,Short/Fleet,350,Saginaw 4-Speed,Lowered 4x2,small window,P/S,Edelbrock Intake/Carb,HEI,Gear Drive,Crane Cams 274h Three Rivers, Ca Pics at: http://community.webshots.com/album/35751472Gxaqxf

Loosen the piece with the square hole and slide it forward a little. We'll call it the latch pocket.
It my take a few tries, and there's ben a time that I had to remove it and oval the mounting holes to move it far enough. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350.
