TH350 to SM465...how long?

i wanna swap a 4spd into my truck, and im just wondering if i find all the parts beforehand...how long will it take to do the swap? will probably be done outside with hand tools and a floor jack.

It's too bad you weren't closer to Boston, because I'm wanting to do just the opposite to my truck. We could park them next to each other and swap my SM465 into your truck and your TH350 into my truck.
It sounds easier to me to go from manual to auto, I think there's less bits and pieces involved. Maybe this web site will help you out some:
