The brackets are woth more than the seats...if they are out of a pickup.
Since nobody makes foam replacements for the high back buckets, make sure the foam is good...otherwise you will be stuck with buckets not worth recovering.

I would assume you could get $2-300 easy for the seats/brackets & console. I have two sets of each (seats, brackets, and console), and paid $200 for each if it matters.

I agree with bigblock73.
I sell regular cab factory bucket seat brackets (including the 2 inner floor tabs) for $100.00 as fast as I get them. I've sold 9 sets this year at that price so there is a market for them. If the seats have good foam they'll bring $100.00 but if the foam is junk they aren't worth much more than $25-$35.00. I usually end up buying 2 sets and using two passenger side seats to get a decent pair to sell. A nice solid console will bring $75.00 and up. |

My best find was in an old junkyard that was closed down. They were getting ready to crush all of the vehicles and sell the land. I stopped by and asked the owner if I could look thru the trucks before they crushed them. I found 4 complete sets of factory bucket seats ('75-'77-'77-'79), 2 tach clusters ('79-'80), 2 speed warning speedos ('72-'72), and 3 tach dashes ('70-'72'-'72).
Ebay is another great place to find them. I think I've bought two or three sets of brackets this year off of there. The last time I saw a set I emailed the seller and made an offer. I bought the brackets (including the floor tabs) and the inner seatbelts dirt cheap. He re-listed just the seats and I think bigblock73 ended up with them. It never hurts to ask. I bought 4 sets off of the car-part.com website. 1 in Oregon, 2 in Ohio (from the same guy), and 1 in South Dakota. They're out there you just have to put in the time to find them. |

Get them from the same era as the seats you are using, the brackets got closer together on the 81-91 subs. I'm using 84 sub buckets in my 86 project. I'm modifying the sub brackets for that truck or I might use one of the two sets I have from 1975 buckets. Anyhow, the holes in the seat frames will set the width the brackets will be on the floor. The outer holes match the bench seats and the inners move depending on the year.

Thanks for the info ElGracho . I wasnt aware that Subs had what I am looking for . My seats are complete and have the truck tracks . I just need the tabs and will start looking a little harder . I do not want to make tabs since I like things to look right . Frank

my dad's 86 has buckets in it from a suburban. We cutted the brackets out from the suburban and welded them into his 86. The sub brackets have the same floor groove as the pickup.
