Body-Off Cab Stand
Ayone out there build a metal stand for their cab to do a full body-off restoration? Looking for ideas on how to build one including material used, dimensions and type of casters used for wheeling it around the shop.

Fellow member Ken (sorry forgot username, but with the '69 Wallet Eater web site) designed this neat wooden model. I copied/stole plans and made my own. Worked great, easy to make and the price was right!
Following pics lifted without permission from Ken's site:

BTW, I had a small "incident" with my stand this weekend. I've been tipping the cab up onto the firewall so I can work on the dash mods, and then tipping it back onto the wheels to do other things, back and forth, back and forth. Well... one of the uprights split in two and the cab fell off... oops. No damage to anything on the cab, but the other uprights ripped the screws out. Rather than rebuild it, I just set the top trapezoid (the part that bolted to the cab flooe) onto the bottom trapezoid (the one with the casters on it) and shot some screws to hold them together. Now it's a foot lower than before. Obviously it was not intended to be rocked back and forth a lot Kenneth

I was at Wes's sthe other day he has one similar but a little higher and its is closed in like a box underneath and he uses it for small parts from the cab so if its in this box its for thiscab. I thought that was a great idea.. Great job WES
