I still have a pair of those things in my junk locker. Pulled 'em off my Dad's '64 Olds wagon after I blew it up [siezed and cracked the block] trying to leadfoot thru Yuma on a summer day when the idiot light went on. Also pulled the inside rearview mirror bracket -- which 20 years later I was able to retrofit into a newly acquired '67 Sub (PO had a parts store copy of the '72-later type). I thought of putting the wind wings things on my '71 Jimmy, but I never have. They'd only get caught on some low-hanging mesquite branches and rip out big chunks of the fiberglass top.
