Any I Picked up 10 square Feet of brown bread for my new doors to get the tinny sound out of them. My question is where is the best place to put it. I will be 5 square feet per door. I have nothing it the door now so it should be easier to put it in. Any help on this guys?

I have seen pictures of doors with sound deadener placed on the inside of the outerskin of the door. I know BobbyK has a thread with alot of pictures regarding his sound deadener project. Perhaps when the search tool is back up you can search for that thread.

There was just an article in super chevy about sound deading inside doors.

Not sure which side of the door if your just going to do one side only. All the car audio forums pics I've seen the installers usually install on both sides and the bottom also (inside the door cavity), however the water that runs down into the door (from the window felts) and goes out the 2 drain slots at the bottom of the door could raise some aheasive issues and or trapping moisture behind the brown bread and causing premature rust. Ive never seen the product myself so I could be wrong, I've thought of undercoating the inside of the door and then installing Dynamat or Brown bread but I'm sure you would run into adheasive problems... so I don't know what the best solution really is. I would definitley run some baffles for the speakers to protect the back half of them however all the ones I've seen locally are pretty cheap quality, it would almost be ideal if you could make them out of fibreglass and it would drive the SPL and give you noticeable bottm end form a 6 1/2" or a 6" x 9". Doug

I have seen plenty of factory style deadened doors ( some type of undercoating painted or primered over.) I won't personaly stuff any kina sponge bread or whatever it is in my doors to sop up moisture. Specialy after going to the work I have to do to rebuild mine. Some PO turned my doors into spaker boxes and thatsa gotta go also!!!!!!!!
