My door seems to move and make much more noise than the normal noise. I realize that there will be some noise due to the body flex. I think maybe the latch isn't latching properly. how do I check that?

If it is staying shut, it is latching ok. Try pulling on it.

How are your body mounts? If they are shot, that could add to the problem.

squirt the latch with some white lithium grease.

It is also pretty common for the hinges to wear over the years. If the bolts holding the hinges to the body and to the door itself are tight, pull up and down on the door and watch the hinge. If there is enough play in the hinge to allow the door to move more than 1/8'' then you need to replace the hinges.

If your hinges are OK, next check for rot/rust in the area immediately below your hinges. If this area is week, your doors will constantly move.

If all of the above things are OK, you may need to simply adjust the door striker itself so that it lines up w/ your door latch better.

I think it is a combination of the hinges and the body mounts. Could somebody refresh me on why i don't want to have the poly ones, but the rubber ones, and where I can get them

I used black poly body mounts that I bought from Chevy Duty. Had no problems w/ them. Do not be concerned if you need some shims to get things to line up. Blazers/trucks were often shimmed from the factory.(but only a few shims, not like 1/2'' worth)

In fact, my '94 blazer had shims from the factory.

Well i order a new door latch, after close inspection I thing that is the cause for 80% of the noise. Ill let you know how it goes. Hopefully i will be able to fix it.
