stock big block sweet spot

I understand that a stock small block' torque sweetspot is around22-2300 rpm's. I have heard it is best to gear your truck at your desired cruising mph/rpm. My question is where would a relatively stock 454's peak torque range be at??? Anyone know or have experience gearing a truck with a turbo 400 for best performance and mileage???? thanks

I would reccomend 3.42s if your looking for an all around gear. I like a 28 or 29" tire in the rear too. Should keep you at 2600 rpm@60.
