72 to 70 Fuel line swap
Hi. I read that my fuel line from tank to pump in my 70 GMC with a 250 6 is smaller than a V8 line?? If so, what do I have to rob off my 72 V8 parts truck? One line or all of them? Do I have to swap the sending unit assembly too? Thanks.

You will need all of the lines including the tank unit.

When I purchased a new sending unit for my 68 V8, the connector was too small on my line coming up through the floor. I called the vendor and they said the line was probably for a 6 cylinder. So I order a sending unit for a six and that worked fine. Funny thing though, my VIN shows this to be an 8 cylinder. Go figure.

the 6 cyl trucks, & the 2 brl equipped sb trucks had a 5/16 fuel line....it should handle 325-350 hp on the street fine tho. i had to upgrade the fuel lines & system , when i was running a 461 " Olds(my guess, 425 or so on the ponies). If you arent all out racing, or heavy towing, you should be fine with the 5/16 line......crazyL
