Any ideas for firewall hood hinges?
Does anyone know of a good quality firewall mounted hinge that would work? I need to relocate my hinges from the fenders to the firewall. I have a 71 SWB with a 2" body drop and a "Z"ed frame and in order to get it as low as I want for show I need to section the top inner edge of the fender 2". Right now my fenders lay on my tires before I am at full bump. The problem I run into is the hinge is the only thing in the way of me fixing this problem . Also I want to put stock inner fender wells back in so it is needed for this as well. Any info or pics would be great.

Thanks JoE I will try getting a hold of him. Also thanks for the tilt idea but I am keeping the bone stock look from out side and don't want any extra body lines.

I believe someone has put a front tilt hood on by using the hinges and latch off a mid 80's buick lesaber.(sp) That would move the hinges to the front of the truck.

Thanks for the leads but I want mine to open the stock direction. My doors may end up opening in reverse but not the hood. Any door set up picks?
