Removing 77 cab trim?

Another new guy to the board here. I hope I've found the right place because I'll have a dozen questions.

Can someone clue me in on how to remove the trim around the back of the cab? I want to take it off a junker to reinstall it on a driver I'm putting together.

There ain't much left of this 77 but the cab trim band will, soon enough I hope, be on a 79.

I went out to the back 40 and felt the stud inside the cab. I'll have to dig out a 5/16th (I think) deep well socket and see if I can get this trim band off, without damaging it, in the morning.

Thanks for the tip. I should have figured it out myself as it's pretty self evident once a guy knows the stud is there and is not necessarily having a "senior" brain freeze moment.

Gold, eh? Like the Packers colors are green and gold (but all of us cheeseheads know it's really green and yellow)

Whatever color it is, when the time comes, the yellow, gold, mustard or whatever is more than likely going to be painted over on this particular cab trim band as it's going on my 79 Scottsdale C20 which is going to be a slickside (without side trim) that will be newly painted white.

Speaking of yellow stripe 77 trim, I have a friend who says he has a pile of NOS 77 side trim. I have not seen it but he says it's new that he got when a local dealer went out of business. If anyone is interested I'll ask him the skinny when I see him again.

I'd really like to know more about this NOS trim. I need some for my Gentleman Jim, which also used the gold trim even though its a 75.

Yeah, I'd like to hear what he has too. I have a 77 Silverado short wide with that trim.

I guess I got in a little late on this, but you know I'm interested. Let us know what you find out. I'll take any NOS 77 trim that you can find.
