Best Headers for Bagged Truck

Its been a while, but I am starting to work on ol84 again. Needing a little help. I just purchased some Hooker Super Comp headers for my 84. They are awesome but they hang down too low. I will be bagging my truck in the next couple of months. If I use the Hooker Super Comps that I have I will not be able to lay frame so I am sending them back to summit. Do any of you have any suggestion on the best header for what I want. I currently have some long tube headers that stop at the frame rail on it but they have small diameter tubes. I am searching for the largest diameter tubed header I can find. I would like to stick with long tub headers but I will consider shorties. The super comps had 2" primaries, they sure would have helped the ol84 breath better. Let me hear from you guys. Almost forgot, I have a BB402 matched to a th350.

Thanks,
Rusty

I am running sanderson headers and will be bagging the front of my truck soon. A little expensive but they havent discolored or leaked in 3 yrs.

Well, you could use some chevelle 3/4 lengths like a couple members use around here, they will tuck with the right exhaust setup.

I use Thorley longtubes and they tuck just fine. I do scrape the crap out of em on big bumps when driving low though, airing up helps that though

agree with cochino12. I had Sanderson's (block huggers) on my '62 Impala SS adn I had no problems. The huggers allow you to make the tubing close to your body but beware of floor board heating. Use thicker gage tubing, 2.5" all the way.

Heddman Hussler headers for a 67-69 Camaro. only 1 7/8" primaries, but tuck nicely into the frame. the only downside, is some minor massaging to get them to fit, along with fabrication of a trans crossmember to clear the dual exhaust.

Airmale, are you running the hooker #2455 on your BB? If so, would you happen to have a pic of where the collectors sit after install? I new I should have done this before I ordered mine...the #2455 are almost $200 cheaper than the ones I got

I'm running Hedman #68610, Chevelle big block shorty headers on my '81 454/T350 combo. They're $135 from Summit...that's for black painted...ceramics are more of course. Fit fine except I had one tube on driver's side I had to massage a 1/4" where it sat on the motor mount...other than that no probs. I just dropped the truck 4/5 and have no clearance issues whatsoever.
Here's a couple of pics:

Thanks guys, I am going to go with the Hooker #2455. When I get the truck all done, I will post some pics. Going to be getting a 9inch, 4 link, bags, air control arms backhalved, aerospace engineering disc brakes on all corners done in the next couple of months. I already have the bag setup and airarms. Should drop it off at the shop by begin of september for all of the rear suspension stuff. I will be doing the bag setup. Anyone have some pics of how/where they have their compressor and valves mounted? Just tossing around ideas in my head seeing what others have done.
