LMC blanket seat cover questions
Is the LMC blanket seat cover(the one that looks like a quilted seat) just a cover that goes over your existing seat or does it go directly on top of the foam? Is it pretty good quality? Is there a big difference (other than price) than the one in LMC and one I could get @ Wal-Mart?

do yourself a favor and take it to g et covered. a quality cover will cost you $250. if you are going to do it your self, get the hounds tooth covers from gmc paul. you do have to take the old cover off, but its not a big deal, just save the metal rods and get the dog ring plyers..

if I had $250 laying around then I'd certainly get someone to cover it, but I'm on a pretty tight budget right now. I don't really want vinal so I'd rather have a cloth cover. I'm not trying to win a show, just trying to be comfortable.

Are you talking about the saddle blanket cover - the one LMC lists for $55? If so, I've had several over the years. Used to call them Cowboy covers. They go directly over the old seat cover, but if your putting it over vinyl seats they do tend to slide around alot and kinda get out-of-kilter. They tend to stay in place better if put over the foam. The pockets in the front are kinda nice for storing stuff - especially in our model trucks.

yeah, those are the ones I'm talking about. Are they any different from the kind you can get at Wal-Mart? I saw some there that looked the same, but for like half the cost.

www.lmctruck.com Don't have an online catalog, but you can order a hard copy of their catalog online.

How much are the WalMart covers? They have them here in the auto parts stores for $39.99. If they are less at WalMart...I'm thinking of getting one for the time being...just to protect the seat until I decide on an interior color. Should not have thrown away the old one...LOL!

If memory serves, thay are about the same at wall mart as the parts store.
The thing I like about these things, is they are durable as hell. I just wish they weren't so ugly. (they been in all of my trucks) |

The Wal-Mart in town has them for $26, and the AutoZone has them for $29. For prices like that, it'd probably be worth giving a try.
