Junk Yarding and no 18" 7-blade fan

Chickenwing and I went junk yarding today and I did not find an 18" 7-blade fan. It was fun and the company was great but I can npt believe there is not a fan that will not fit the fan shroud I have. Any ideas? I am starting to thing 'electric fans" but I don't want to at this time. Help!

You have got to be kidding! Sacramento has so many wrecking yards that many are located on the aptly named "Recycle Road!"

Keep trying, maybe at another yard. Call first, perhaps, to ask if they have such fans. Ask a yard's office staff to tell you what cars/years the 7-blade 18" fans came on. I think lots of '70s GM V8 cars had 18" fans that mate to our fan clutches. Good hunting.

We went on the "Pick-n-Pull Power Tour". Hit up Rocklin, Sunrise and Stockton Blvd. Only tried one full service yard in Rocklin. Tried looking in the older big GM cars but all were 5 bladed. Think he might have some success trying the full service yards, they just tend to be real proud of their parts.

I have a couple fans also. I'll check to see what size they are.

Thanks. Looks like it would work. Only has 6 blades and looks like it might have two mounting hole patterns. Betcha it would work.
