Talking Badges...yeah, i need some stinkin badges.

Well, I want some 500 badges. I've seen a couple ppl on here had custom made 500 badges that look like the original 350/400 badges, (and the rare 292 badge) but, I don't have that kind of cash, nor the hook up.
So here is one I found. Actually, a buddy located it, but has no clue what it may have came from. he deals with mostly imported stuff, german and itiallian, but he has enough american junk it coulda been from one of them.

Does any one know what this nay have come from?

Does anybody know where there is another badge like this in decent to mint condition?

Does anyone have some other 500 badges that'll look good...and in good shape?

Part of my wants to put it under the longhorn script badge on the back...a longhorn 500. The script is close enogh that it might look good.

Opinions?
Am I high?
Am I on the right track?

I think it'll look good under the Longhorn script. As for what it came off of....I'd say an old Benz?

Skulk around in the yards until you find some 350 and 400 badges... and then do the JB weld to them. The authentic look will go a long way. IMO, the 500 badge in your OP is a lot like...

D@mn Andy.....if you said longhorn badges, I could probably dig up a couple! Mine is shaved pretty smoove.I wish you the best with that 500 CAD......bad to the bone, but you need a mid 3's gear to keep the revs down(I still have a few broken valve springs to prove that theory!) Best of luck, L

I think that badge is from a 60's Ford. However, check out the deck lid badges from
early to mid 80's Mercedes coupes, roadsters, and sedans. They made a 500 series
for about 6 to 8 years.
