Motor mount replacement
What all is involved in replacing a motor mount? My truck was originally a six but now a small block. How do I tell if it's mounted in the six cylinder location or not. Thanks.

You will see two sets of holes in the frame rails along side each mount, unless you have a 4+4 the original six would have used the rear set of holes. If you have a sm block in the six mounts the dist will be very close to the firewall.

take motor mount bolts out, possibly have to remove exhaust pipes from manifolds, jack engine up with floor jack and large wood block by the pan or harmonic balancer(be careful not to crack the distributor cap). unbolt the mounts from the block, bolt the new ones on and follow procedure backwards.
