Newbie from MD- '70 K5 2wd
I'm Jason, I live in Southern Maryland, and I own a 2wd '70 K5 Blazer CST. I've owned it for about 1 year and a half and it's been my daily driver for the past year. It was originally a I6/3spd, but at some point before I got the truck that drivetrain was scrapped in favor of a 350/350 driveline. Other than that and cheap repaint the truck was mostly original when I purchased it.
Right now the truck is running a 305/350 combo, I've lowered it 4", added a roll pan and shaved the mirrors and side trim. Within the next month or so I'm going to start doing rust repair in the typical places- rockers, torque boxes, wheel arches, etc. The floor itself is surprisingly very solid. I'm posting some pics of the truck in it's current state. My other projects also include an '87 S-Blazer, '78 Nova RS, '72 Chevelle SS393, and a chopped and channeled '51 Ford P/U. |

BRANDYWINE!!?? Cool! I grew up in Clinton. Lived there for about 40 years. Just went to the Surrattsville all year class reunion a couple of weeks ago. I've been living in VA for almost 10 years now.
Where bouts are you in Brandywine? It's good to have another Southern MD boy on the board. I really like your Blazer too, keep it going and keep it clean, cause TWD Blazers of any year are getting pretty thin in our part of the world. Welcome to the greatest board on the web.

Gary-
Nice to see some more local people here. I live Right off of 373, between Accokeek and Brandywine- Lived here for 22 years now, since I was two years old. I wouldn't be surprised if you knew my Father when you were younger- He's always been into street rods and graduated from Suitland in '68. From the sounds of it you are about the same age as him. This is the 2nd first gen 2wd K-5 I've owned, with my first being a '72 that I traded for the '70. I know how hard they are to come by around here- part of the reason I like the Blazers is because you don't see alot of them around. I will keep it going, but it could use alot of cleaning! It won't be long before I tear into it though. |

Wassup from MARY-land
Hey Jason...
just wanted to add my hello and welcome to you. I am up near Laurel Maryland. I am stationed at Fort Meade. I also have a 2wd, but mine is far from driving material at the moment. Your blazer looks good, keep up the work on it, hopefully I can see it on the road up my direction... Lenny
