Hitches - more choices

This was a free hitch from a wrecked 2003 Chevy pickup. I modified the mount and have a spring loaded license plate from a 68 Chevelle. It springs up. Plug is hiding on the right side and is accessible when the insert is in place. Total outlay --- $40 and my labor- $28 of it for the sping plate bracket. Yes that is a C6 setting next to it.

I will send some closeup pics tonight of the hitch mounts and cut in the license bracket. To hinde it completely altho possible required a lot more surgery. The C6 is a nice ride -- momma claims it --so maybe it isn't mine.

Doesnt the plate get dinged up when you tow stuff around? And did you cut that rear bumper, for the exhaust?

Hitches

The plate sits in the top hinge holder the lip of the holder is the only thing that touches the insert. Hate to say it bug it is dang near perfect. Yes, I fish mouthed the bumper for relief on the dual exhaust. Marked, taped, and cut bumper with an air hacksaw, then painted the new exposed edge to seal the edge and chrome. I almost brought them thru the bumper but the piping interferes with the frame unless you do some exotic bending. thanks for asking

Here's a hitch that FROST89434 custom made for my 69. I liked it so much that I had him build another for the 71. Thanks again Jim !!! Pictures were taken at night. Hope they turn out.

you might want to Pm him. We did some trading out on them. I installed a heater in garage and he made the hitch.
