Another seat question?

I have horrible old bench seat in my 75 GMC and am wanting to upgrade. I don't want to go to buckets. Where have you guys bought your bench seats at? Has anyone gotton a bench to fit from a newer style truck? I really like the 40-20-40's in the new chevy's, but they seem to be too high to install in my style since they mount to a flat cab floor where the 73-87's have the hump for the seat.
I appreciate any info or advice.

You can make brackets that will sit the new seat lower. You also have to remember the newer seats dont have as much foam in the cushion so the actual seat it's self is smaller.

So do you have a newer seat in your truck? Do you have any pics of yours or anyone elses?

There is a picture of my 60/40 if you go back a couple of weeks. The thread is called "other seat options". I don't think 99' and up Chevy seats will work. Look for seats out of a 95' to 98'.

My seat came from an 88 suburban, I never got around to make brackets for it, it does need them. Suburban seats are different from regular truck seats, I tried it in my Dads 86 GMC just to see if it fit that since they are the same body style, nope. Seat does look good espcially since my Mom does automotive upholstery, of course it's had a cover on it since 98. I'll have to get a pic, I need to clean the cover anyway.

Pulled mine out of a '92 F@rd F150. Very nice, and only minimal modification needed to make it work.
