Rick, from all the threads I've read the painless kits are pretty good. I was lucky and most of my wiring harnesses were in great shape (no hack jobs). I did replace a couple of the smaller harnesses and found them at the wreckers, I inspected them really well by eye and checked continuity with my multi-meter on each wire... and they were very inexspensive. I did some reading on Painless also and they seem to be good, although not original in looks. I just got a engine harness from MotherTruckers just the other week, and he has the best prices i've found on original wiring. The harness is all original in looks, and fits like a glove. I'm most likely going to get the headlight harness later on. My under dash one is in great shape. Don't need to replace that.

M&H wiring is by far the best for originality and fit. A lot of the vendors carry those at a good price.

painless, definatley. one because there price is the lowest. and two if you go with jegs, you will get what you pay for. plus if you have any questions I definatley know of 4 people that have completed a painless wiring harness setup. so any questions can be answered.
