Where to run power wire for amp?

I want to hook an amp up behind the seat. My batt is on the pass side. Where is the best place to run the wire into the cab? I have a/c so alot of the firewall is taken up on that side. How is everyone routing the wires? Thanks

I drilled a hole directly under the a/c case to run my amps power wire.

It's low so it can't be seen from the engine compartment & you can route the wire directly to the batt on the inside of the front fender & keep things out of sight.

On the inside, the carpet ran high enough up the foot boards that the wire & grommet it went through are also out of sight & contained under the carpet.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I ran a 4 gauge wire rom the battery to the bottom of the cab (under the heater) and then into the cab. I put a fuse block setup on the front of the heater housing and then ran 8 gauge wire to all of my amps in the truck. The wire from the battery is run around the front of the battery and then INSIDE the passenger front fender and it exits right before the firewall, so it can enter the cab. BE Sure to put a fuse right close to the battery, in case your power wire goes to ground going through the cab wall.

Scotti, I think we have the same routing. I have mine through the inside of the fender too. Can't even find the wire, except at the battery. But even at the battery it has the black plastic stuff over it.

Yep, sounds similar. Mine runs up from under/behind the battery.

Threw the firewall and on to the battery. Runs under the carpet/door plate.

Just like they other guys did. Of course I dident go too overkill on the wire since its only a 250w amp. I found the duct tape does a good job of keeping the wire where its supposed to be and its not seen so.

Thanks guys. I bought some grommets today and will try to get it wired up tomorrow. Looks like everyone's running it in the same spot, so I'll do the same

Update:

Well I found and existing hole, so I enlarged it, put in a grommet, then ran the wire under the carpet. Here's a pic.
