Power steering seal

I need to replace the seal on my '85 CUCV (1 1/4ton 4x4). Anyone have any advice? Can it be done with the box still in the truck?

Which seal? There's a seal on both the pinion shaft and the steering column shaft. I've replaced the steering column shaft seal with the box still in the truck on both my 73 Suburban and my 76 K20. I'm probably going to do the same thing on the 79 I'm currently working on.
