tranny Decodeing help is desperatly needed
Looking for help to identify tranny by casting #'s in transmission housing
(CBS179579) (MV4) much larger print this tranny also has a electric plug driver side manually turning the linkage there is 6 gear placements P.S. TH350 removed had a 3 inch shorter tail shaft for a 203 transfer and this tranny was on a 208C, 91 chev Silverado 4X4 |

Sounds like it might be a 4L60E. I don't have a casting number breakdown but I thibk that's what auto they used in 91...

Just 700R4 or 4L60, the E didn't come along until 93 or 4.
