Question Mar-K Products

I just recently found the link for Mar-K products, and I was wondering what people thought of their line? I need to purchase a complete bed, and their kit has been the cheapest thus far. Thanks for you help in advance.

Mar-k has good parts. My problem with them is that when they come to the Wichita swap meet they are a few bucks higher than my local supplier www.bowtiebits.com . Another good place is www.chevyduty.com in KC. What will make the difference on big parts will be shipping. If you can pick up the parts it should save you some bucks.

Mar-K is now a board sponsor (and member here), and is here to answer all your questions if you have any. From everything I have read and heard, they have excellent quality parts.

Well, by looking at their website the products look quite well. I'm close enought to purchase products at Chevy Duty, but there are items that Chevy Duty does not handle quite yet.

1970 CST Short Wide - www.mar-k.com

Their items and quality look to be fairly high.

Has anyone purchased their items?

I would say go with Mar-K just because they do support us. I have never heard anything bad about them.

Thanks for you help guys...I'm going to call them and see if they are going to the All Truck Nationals in Riverside, MO on Sept 10 & 11, so that I can talk with them, and hopefully purchase from them.

Hey Brew, actually I live in California, MO, but spend most of my time (work...work....play.....work......WORK!!!!!!) in Jefferson City. My dad has a friend that lives down W which is pretty close to Rocky Mount. We'll have to meet up sometime.

I bought a "rolled" pan from them about 7 years ago. It looked as though it had been "rolled" by a 3rd grader (no offense to 3rd graders out there). It went back. I bought Sir Michaels, and that's all I've bought since for such pieces. Maybe they make better parts now (or then), but that one experience (including the hassle it was to return the part) was enough for me.

I bought a complete short stepside bed with tailgate and wood , for my 56 stepside a couple years a ago.Totally satisfied with the quality of their products, shipping was kinda high but the stuff very heavy. and I would imagine living in Seattle,Washington at the time may have had something to do with most of it.

Speaking from first hand experience, GO FOR IT. I got my bed wood, bed strips and bolt kits from Mar-K. Happy with everything.

I bought the oak wood bed kit and polished SS strips and fasteners from MAR-K. In my opinion they have the finest kit on the market! The wood came grooved, holes bored and washers counter-sunk. They do the best job of packing for shipment that I have seen yet! Their price was more than competitve.

Thanks Orange Truck.....I'm trying to piece my bed all together since I'm going from an all steel rust bucket of a bed, to a new metal wood bed.... Or atleast that's what I'm planning if the little lady will let that happen.....haha!
