Clutch Fork Boot

I put a 11in clutch kit in my truck and when I went to put the throwout bearing in the boot disentigrated (sp?) where can I get one of these boots? And what is its purpose?

You can get them anywhere that sells 67-72 Truck parts. But stick with people that are part of this board and sell parts like GMC Paul, Tim Christian, Wes, Mother Truckers, and alot others I forgot.

The prupose is to keep out dirt and dust.
