72 Burb Ambulance

Anyone know any production numbers on 72 burbs. There is a 72 burb ambulance with 67K miles for sale locally and seems to be a very solid rig. I beleave this truck was converted into an ambulance by Divco-Wayne Corp out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. It says Sentinal on the right rear barn door. Anyone have any info on these conversions? Thanks.

I don't have any production numbers, but there were a number of companies that converted Suburbans into ambulances. I have attached a scan of a Wayne Suburban ambulance from a book I have "The American Ambulance, 1900-2002." Wayne Corp. started producing these in 1969. The Miller-Meteor Division of Wayne Corp. also built ambulances and hearses on Cadillac chassis.

Here's my rig. Check it out!! I'm not sure on any particular info. You're right though it is a solid rig. It's at the paint shop getting painted. Stayed tuned.
