I used Hooker Comps on a 350 in I6 position with a 3 speed manual transmission. I had to use a screw in pivot ball on the side of the engine (instead of the bolt on pivot ball bracket) and tweak one arm of the z-bar with a crescent wrench slightly. No problems with interference ever after the tweak.
