Tilt column question

Is it possible to get a 3 on the tree "TILT" steering column?

i have one, but it was factory so i wouldn't know where to buy one except a lucky search in a junkyard.

I think they are meaning a three speed manual tilt column, not an auto tilt like pictured.

"3 on the tree" translates to automatic 3 speed with a column shifter.

3 on the tree means manual on the tree. Automatic is normally on the tree so I think most just say automatic. He is look for a 3 speed manual on the tree with tilt.

Perhaps my wording was incorrect. I am looking for a tilt column that has the manual shift on the column. If one exists. thanks anyway. muff

was it all chrome or all billet? you might be able to get them from ididit or billet specialties

The one I was looking at is chrome. I just wanted to know if this was a stock option at some point in time or if the tilt manual shift column was purely aftermarket.

3 speed manual could not be had with tilt in the 69 - 72 trucks.
