Thumbs up Great Thread!!

This is a great thread for what we do here. I have to take all of my 'sheet metal' and engine/tranny off my 2WD and lay it into my 4x4 frame real soon and would like to see more ideas/methods of lifting all or part of the goodies into the air. I like the idea of keeping the front clip with the cab, less sheet metal alignment later on.

I remember seeing a thread where a guy lifted the cab off the frame by using bottle jacks and homemade saw horses on each side of the truck. He lifted it high enough to roll the old frame out and rolled the new frame back under. That thread may have been on another 4x4 website.

Keep those Pics and ideas coming please!

6 screws behind back of hood in gutter area of cowl panel
4 screws (2 each side of windshield wipers) on cowl panel
2 1/2" head bolts at both front corners of cowl panel under hood
2 1/2" head bolts at back corners of cowl panel behind doors (see with doors open)
2 5/8" bolts under fender wells with really big washers that screw into to firewall
2 9/16" head bolts under front of doors screw into the back bottom corners of the fenders
2 large bolts that go up through the radiator support
2 1/2" head bolts that hold the strap next to the steering column shaft on drivers inner fender
may have to thread the wiring harness back through the drivers fender to remove the front clip or discnnect harness at firewall 1 srew through the center of that and harnes will pull free from firewall
