My new project

Hey all. I'm usually on the 67-72 boards but I just got a reason to be here now. This truck was offered to me by an elderly lady 5 years ago for $400. At the time I had no room for it so I let it be. Well, I got a call from her a month ago and she said I could just have it!!! It just so happens that I have the room for it now, for I'm at a different house.

It runs and drives, has a leakey rear wheel cylinder and the bed is a hydraulic dump, but the piston needs work. Its rated at 16000 lbs and the tag says 1956.

I'm curious as to what model this is considered as I'm new to these years.

Sorry for the pic of a pic. What do you all think?

It looks like a 3800. But if you go to http://www.americanclassic.com/
and click on the decode vin it will get you a model and year with other info.
