Towing Capacity

I was wonder what the towning capacity for a 72 C/10 longbed with a 355, turbo 400 and a 3.42 12 bolt be. I plan on towing a boat that weighs around 4000lbs and have stuff in the box while driving through mountain roads and I was wondering if my truck could handle it.

My bro in law's step dad tows with a straight 6 3 on the tree short step side a 24 foot camper, he added the hookup for electric brakes and that baby tows that camper like a champ. And that's around 3500-4000 pounds I believe.

Speaking of that truck, it's the cleanest all original (best I can tell it is) 60 something chevy truck I've ever laid eyes on, it's absolutely straight, rust free, original paint is still pretty good, I mean it's not showroom but man it sure is straight and clean.

Engine/drive train wise, I would say your OK, but make sure you're running a tranny cooler on it.
