Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a rebuilt Q-jet for my '74 pickup and was wondering where any of you got yours or have done business before. I have checked out Carbs.net but they don't seem to want to answer my questions. Anyway who have you had good luck with and how can I contact them? Thanks

I bought one of their rebuilt carbs for my 78 and it worked great. I think I called them with a question about my core. They refunded my core charge quickly to my credit card. Overall, I was very pleased with their service and the quality of their rebuilds. Unfortunately, the truck bent a valve about 6 months after I put the carb on, so I don't have a long term test to give you. I highly recomend them.

I bought a custom Q-jet and a HEI several years back from JET Performance. I have been happy with both. They will rebuild your core or theirs. They tuned my carb to the truck taking into account cam specs, truck weight, gearing, exhaust, and intended use. You can get them either from JET or Summit.

Well I ordered one from Carbs Unlimited after calling and having my questions answered that way. They wouldn't do it over an email though. If Jet carbs weren't so expensive I probably would've gone that way but being on a budget and getting ready to go back to school doesn't allow me to spend that much. Thanks you guys!

I saw a NOS Q JET for a 76 454 on ebay the other day.Believe it had a buy it now of 250.00.Might want to do a search for it,seems like a good deal.Bought one like it a coupla of years ago for my truck and it was perfect and still in the delco box and wrapped in plastic.

your local parts house have them usually no more than 150.00 i think the only thing is thay are not pre set and usually need adjustments so if you dont know carbs like me call a friend over that does and you should be fixed up

Believe it or not, I got a '69 camaro Q-jet for my '85 truck from Autozone several years ago and have had no problems at all. It was cheap and didn't need setting. But, I'm running an older model motor and no choke or electronics at all.
