I always thought the fleetside ones would work with little or no modification.

They are not the same as a truck. I haev seen 2 done and they were both custom made

I see. It's that part that sticks out kinda into the bumper if you have one. Doesn't look bad, but I think I would get rid of that. Maybe use the lower/rear corner off truck fenders, then use the truck pan.

also the tailgate is different on a truck, and the light buckets sorta flow down behind the bumper
