Oil gauge ok? How to wire batt gauge?
Is there a way to test it? At idle, mine is showing a little over half. Anything above idle RPM pegs it. PO said that the motor has a high flow oil pump. I do NOT want to put aftermarket gauges in. Unless I get one of the dash covers with them built it Just curious if this is normal for the oil gauge reading.
Batt gauge. My alternator has been upgraded to a single wire and the external reg has been eliminated. What is the correct way to wire up the batt gauge for this setup?

I had a high-flow oil pump in a 67 a few years ago and it acted the same way as yours.

Check the faqs for the altenator and gauge hook up, as for the oil pressure gauge you have a 60 lb gauge and for the high flow oil pump you have you need a factory 80 lb gauge, which there are people on this board have some they might part with if you request to buy the gauge on the parts board, be prepared to spend a little to get a nice stock 80 lb gauge...... Look around the junkyards for the medium duty c40-c60 series trucks. If they have a big block(366-427), they'll have the 80lb oil pressure gauges in the dash.
