My new 1970 GMC 3/4 ton
Here are a few pics, just picked it up yesterday. Its a mix-match truck; front disks, 16in wheels/tires, newer 350 HEI, auto turbo trans (used to be 4 speed). Not too much rust/rot. Cant wait to start cleaning it up/redoing the wiring that is snaked all over the place.
Any experts see anything in the engine bay that looks odd, or that I should be concerned about. I'm going to try to contact the previous owner and ask about the trucks history and modifications. Yes the Old Sassy plate is coming off!! Last edited by KAILUAZ; 08-05-2005 at 02:57 AM. |

Looks pretty good. If it was mine, I would fix the A/C and toss out that interior bus fan. Sure you aren't going to keep that snazzy front plate?

Very nice looking ride. Only thing I saw wrong was that it is not in my driveway.

I would say the engine is not right. But the good news is I would haul it away free if you pulled it out and loaded it unto my trailer for me. Also those headers need to go with the engine. I would need money for gas there and back and if you have a trailer I could have so I would not have to haul mine to your palce. Oh no, you do not have to thank me. I try to help where I can.

Looks good, notice you didn't have a fan shroud,or an A/C compressor other than that I would clean up the wire maze allso. That looks to be a pretty solid truck .

With fresh paint the Olive trucks look nice, especially on GMC's with their big chrome grille. Not a bad color choice at all if you are thinking of repainting the truck.
