scored me some stock buckets

check out the stock bucket seats i scored

i got em off a 78 pick up.....they were brown, and tore up...but, all original

i had them re-upholestered ($$$)

but am having a hard time trying to mount them ....i got the stock "curved" brackts off of it that were spot welded to the floor....

but i dont want to spot weld them to my floor, just incase i decide to get some real fancy schmancy ones off of ebay

i may end up selling these if i cant decide .....

If you are going to bolt them to the floor use big washers to distribute the load as much as possible.
Beefing up the floor would be a good idea.
The more you can spread the load the better off you are.
Maybe run a plate or angle from bolt to bolt to distribute as much as possible.
Mounting the seat incorrectly or where the floor is weak can be dangerous in an accident.
I would avoid spot-welding the brackets to the floor.
A spot weld may not be enough and may break loose at the worst time.

Drill holes in the floor tabs and bolt them to the floor...that is what I will be doing. As Eddie said, try to use some larger washers for safety.
