The start of the money pit!
Here is a picture of the truck my son and I have begun working on. We have dechromed it and had the seats recovered. Lots left to do.

I have those valve covers.. lol ... late model heads on an earlier block.
Your bed looks better than mine. The only thing I can even hope to salvage from my bed are the bedsides. The fender wells and tailgate are smashed and the bed floor looks like the sand at the beach at low tide... ~~~~~~ Welcome to the wonderfull world of "Where the heck did my money go?" Seriously.. welcome.

Looks like a solid start... Does your truck have the dual battery setup? I noticed that the washer bottle was on the firewall Ya' gonna get that A/C hooked up again?
Good Luck! Joe

Looks like you have already done the seat. Looks good. Looks like a great truck to work with. Father and Son working together on a project, priceless! Not a money pit.

Guys, the seat looks better in person . . .... much better .
It's a pretty solid little truck & you should have alot of fun w/your son fixing it up. Not only is this board addictive, it's also very informative & has a fair amount of knowledge too. When are we going to drop it down?

Great looking truck. I like the idea of doing the seat and interior first. It is the one place that you spend most of your time. Even if you are broken down by the side of the road at least you will have a nice place to sit and wait for the tow truck...LOL! I am going to do the seat on my truck next...I am tired of working on sheet metal!

LIving in Texas
No choice here but too fix the air conditioner. 100+ degrees in the summer makes it hard to look cool as a teenager soaked to the bone in sweat.

Just like what me and mt dad are doing. Just some advise, don't over do yourself. I am starting to regret taking my whole truck apart and my dad is seeming to lose interest and giving me heck more then help. I just hope you and your son are going to have a good time with the truck.
