Cheap Lift Kits - JC Whitney
Just received a JC Whitney catalog. They are advertising 4" lift kits with shocks for $349.99. With a 15% discount cost is about $300. Not bad.

I bought 2 Rough country kits (shocks & steering arm included) from this guy on E-bay....$280 plus shipping per kit. I got 1 for a 69-72 & 1 for an 85. He is bad about sending or replying to e-mail, but I got the kits pretty quick with no problems. I'm not crazy about JC Whitney, they seem to handle cheap stuff. Greg

I took my rough country springs off and replaced them w/ tuff country springs. Rough country lives up to it's name. I have the 4" springs w/ bushings for sell, $80 plus shipping.

JC Whitney, also carries Tuff Country EZ-ride kits. They list a 4" for $290 and a 6" for $475. They don't come with shocks though. Still a good deal. Jason

They don't come with shocks for that price, and they might not even come with SPRINGS for that price at JC whitney!! Before you buy any suspension kits from JCW, make sure you question the beans out of the sales rep. as to what is included in the kit EXACTLY. A lot of their kits only provide lift blocks for the rear and those reps. at JCW don't know their butts from a gopher hole about truck lift kits!

Yeh, those sales reps. don't know much about what their selling (LOL). I called and asked about some cab mounts once and the lady read me what the catalog said. (I had the catalog sitting in front of me)

The Rough Country kit I installed on my 67 is supposed to be "soft ride", but it is NOT. I talked to a Rough Country sales rep, he said they are actually a medium ride, but that this was as soft as they made. I might try some other brand of front springs one day. Greg
