BTW ?

Does anyone have a picture of where to mount the brackets on this grill ?

I received a grill, mounting nuts + bolts and directions stating to mount the

longer brackets on top and the shorter brackets on the bottom, but which direction and where do they mount to ?

Any sugestions other than throw it off the tallest building I can find ? lol.....

Did you get the two sheet metal brackets bent at 90-degrees? I haven't installed mine yet, but I would like to hear how others have done it. It says you have to remove the stock grille support brackets and replace them with theirs. I was wondering how hard it was going to be to get behind the grille to tighten everything up....

EXACTLY !

If there is someone who has installed this grill and who wouldn't mind giving a little advice/directions as the written out directions that come with the grill are very very direction-less.........

How would it work on one where the entire latch is out there? On my '78 its all done outside the cab?

I Got the grille today.. It was all bent up, I managed to straighten it all out but then bent it again when i was installing it. I don't think this grille is the correct grill for my truck though.. these grills are pointy.. in the front.. my old grill is not.. its rounded.. also, the mounting brackets didnt fit properly.. I had to get out the tin snips and trim them to fit.. I will post some pictures when i get my camera charged up..

Does not sound like such a great deal to me. I had rather pay more and get a better grill that does not bend so easily. You may save some money but are you really happy with the grill?

So do the more expensive billet grilles mount easier or better? I still haven't tried to install my cheap one, and it sounds like it's more trouble than it might be worth....

Will someone who has a different grille elaborate on how easy or hard it was to install it? Thanks

Did you check out the phantom grill? What is the difference? Does it actually cover the headlights? Either way I think I will go with the stainless steel.

That looks exactly the same as the one i got.. The grill itself seems good.. just a little bashed up from the shipping.. *( to canada )* ..

I bent it all back to perfect really easily.. but then accidently bent it again when installing it.. I am sure that can happen with any grille..

I am just not too sure that I have the correct grille for my model/year.. do they make a grille like this that is rounded.. or are they all V shaped?..

Is yours rounded.. can you post some close ups?..

the grille did NOT come with hardware - no big deal... comes with black powder coat ( i think!?) brackets and the grille is of nice quality... no big deal on installation - 1/2 hour, taking your time. it does open from the outside... is a lil of a pinch to get between, but nothing i cant handle... if you have big hands/fingers, you'd probably have to put a cable/in cab release, or put some kind of rod to reach underneath and release.

i am very happy with what i bought! - Received with NO DAMAGE!

High shipping charges are always bad.
If you receive a part you are not happy with you will only be refunded
the cost of the item, no shipping charges will be refunded (most places).
Also if they are willing to charge you crazy shipping fees I would wonder
what else they are doing.

BTW: My billet grille (I think its a Stull) cost me about $100.00 local.
Had four mounting points. Went in easily in no time.
It does have the mounts for the signal lights.
The ends are not supported well like all I have seen for these trucks.
The ends can bend if pressure is applied.
