Vacuum Advance Solenoid needed 1972 Chevy

Hi All!!

I need some help or info on the "Vacuum Advance SOLENOID"

What is the part # at local stores?

Throw that sucker away. I have personally never seen one. That is a poorly thought out emissions control item that is pretty much worthless.

I just installed on on my 77 k5 this weekend after I failed smog. That was the only thing I needed for a visual inspection. Cost me $15 at NAPA auto.
They have several colors(temps) and it only affects idle at start until temp hits the designated temp. Easy install and no performance issues (383)

Edit: I just looked at your pics...looks a bit different than mine, but same name. The one I got(I did not have one prior) screws into Intake manifold and opens up vacuum to the distributor once the engine temp hits 180 or whatever its set at.
