67-68 hood to a 69
i recently was at the goodguys car show here in des moines and i saw a 67 and just fell in love with the way hood looked. everything was all sleek looking. now can i get one of these hoods and put it on my 69 or would the body lines not match up corectly.

It won't work.
The 67-68 hood extends over the top of the grille. Your 69 has the bigger grille with the shiny surround. The hood butts up to the back of the grille shell. If you installed the earlier hood, it would extend several inches too far forward and not allow the hood to shut. You can however, swap the whole front clip on your truck for a 67-68 clip. It requires the fenders, hood, grille and core support off the earlier truck. You can reuse your bumper and inner fenderwells.

BUT.....and there is always a but....
It is not an impossible task. Board Member Ghetocrewzer has done it!! Here is a pic of the hood in question on his burb. I believe it is a '67 hood on a '72 front cap. He cut off that overhang and with a little tender-loving-care, he grafted them together!!! For more on it, here is the link: His Burb Here are front and side shots that he posted a while back!
