Door wont stay shut ?

kinda funny actually since I have no seatbelts I will be going around the corner(or worse the on ramp) slouching on my door and pop the door will open and my ass will be flying in the wind with one arm on the door and the other on the wheel.

Anyhow... how would I fix this? The striker plate seems to be fine and the latch part on the door spins freely (not sure if it should). You have to REALLY slam it in order for it to stick. Any suggestions?

thanks

Sounds like the spring that controls the locking catch is broke. Take the latch out and take a look. Easy to see how it works so you will be able to see what is wrong.
