Badge ?

OK, here's the problem, and trying to find out if this is correct of not. My GMC badges on the fenders say "GMC V-eight", but both my doors on top have the "Custom" script on them. Is this right, or did the PO add these scripts? The Glove box also has "GMC Custom" script on it. My interior is partly red and black. Black dash pad & dash, red glove box door, red sun visors, red steering column......I have since changed the steering column to a black tilt. I've just never seen this combo before and my option sticker is missing a few pro numbers. I don't want to buy the "Custom" door scripts, if they didn't come with the truck.

My 69 GMC parts truck had the same emblems as yours, including the "custom" script on the doors, right above the door handle. I think this was just a deluxe trim package as mine was base truck but had stainless window trim, deluxe door panels with chrome top strip, etc..

most likely, the custom was a low option package.

That's what I'm thinking. Probably a package just above the base model. GMC used "Sierra" and "Sierra Grande" for the upper trimed models.

My gut feeling is "custom" on the doors is correct.
