coil spring insulators (front)

I am currently rebuilding the front end of my 1971 short bed project. I need to know if coil spring insulators are required. I have received conflicting info. from others about this. I know that the truck did not have anything when it was disassembled, but that doesn't always mean anything. If I need them (or if it's a good upgrade) does anyone know any good vendors? I would prefer poly. if I can get them.

I've never seen them on a GM truck, only Ford products.

I only know 88-98 trucks used them. Top and bottom.

Thanks for the imput. I would rather find out now rather than after I put the front end back together.

I started a thread about this very topic last fall and it was determined no pads or insulators were used
