hey yall,
looks like the old GMC is finally gonna become swb with the help of a '78 model frame, now im just looking for ideas of some things i should go ahead and do while i have a bare frame sitting infront of me...i dont have much money to spend, but just go ahead and lay on any good ideas you have.

id say put a good coat or 2 of paint on the frame and sand the rust off(if any) befor u pant....that is if u havent already done that..

spray the sray on bed liner stuff on the frame. you can get it cheap a the parts store like 30 bucks. make sure ya stick sumthing like play-doh in the bolt holes or else youll have problems. and play-doh is cheap just steal it off your kids or sum neighborhood kid lol

Media blast the frame and underside of the cab/bed/fenders/etc. You will not believe how nice it is to start off with something clean, fresh, primered, & painted.

Personally, if driver, puller, or dragger....I would box the frame. REALLY helps firm the ride....and not much money involved either.

You will want to relocate some fuel and brake lines though.
